THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE
COLLEGE PARK CAVALIERS
COLLEGE PARK HISTORY
College Park High School opened its doors to students for the first time in August 2005. That November, the first Varsity Team was recruited and lead by Coach John Owens. He led the 2019 Varsity Team to the Class 6A State Semi-Finals, which was the first time in school history a sports program had made it that far. Upon return for the 2019-20 season, College Park was the No. 1 team in Region II-6A preseason rankings from the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.
After an abrupt ending to the 2019-20 season due to the pandemic, College Park was tied for fourth place in the District 15-6A standings.
The 2020-21 school year brought fresh players and a new coach after Coach Owens took an administrative role in Willis ISD. This unprecedented year created many obstacles for our student-athletes, but their academic success and continued athletic development remained the primary focus for the College Park Cavalier coaches and players. Overall, the team finished the season with a record of 8-16-1. They placed fourth in the district behind The Woodlands, Conroe, and Oak Ridge.
Our current head coach, Mike Jaskowiak, led the Cavs to the playoffs in all of his three years at College Park, so far. This year, his third season at CP, the Cavaliers have won their first playoff game since that 2019 season, continued on to a second playoff win making it to the Regional Quarterfinals, and had the best record in their history.
